I-70 ROLLOVER ACCIDENT
May 18th, 2003

The following pictures were taken of a rollover pickup and horse trailer. No one was seriously hurt, not even the horses after the wild ride. This set of pictures shows how the different 911 Departments work together in times like this. Alot of volunteers were out that day, doing what they could to help. I can't name all of the people working at this scene but will try to list all the departments that were involved.
  • Kansas Highway Patrol
  • Sh Co Sheriff Dept.
  • Sh Co EMS
  • Goodland Rescue
  • Goodland Police Dept.
  • Rural Fire Personel
  • Sh Co Communication
  • Prairieland Animal Clinic
  • Alex's Wrecker Service
These type of incidents happen and everyone works together to take care of the situations. Most of the action you see in these pictures is everyone trying to take care of the horses trapped inside the trailer. The main thing was trying to keep them calm until they could be freed from the wreckage. Everyone involved did a great job!
